Tropical Chic

Tropical Chic

Hey Guys....I FINALLY got the Tropical Chic Bundle from the Annual catalog. Wow...this set with the awesome tropical leaves and Hibiscus flower is just so pretty. I can't believe it took me this long to get it. I did have a chance to play with it a little and I came up with these two beautiful cards that make me want to be on a tropical island and not in the sweltering heat of Texas. LOL

Let's start with what products I used...

Tropic Escape Designer Series Paper 146916

For the standard card I made a card base of Granny Apple Green cardstock and I cut it to 11 x 4.25 and scored it at 5.5. I then cut a piece of the DSP to 4 x 5.25 and layered it on the card base. I took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it to 4.25 x 2.75. On it I stamped the sentiment on the right hand side with some Blushing Bride ink. Setting that aside, I grabbed a scrap of whisper white and stamped the leaves images and cut them out with the thinlits giving me a few of them to group and layer with. I then stamped the hibiscus flower twice on my main piece and once on a scrap piece then cut the scrap one out to layer on the others with stampin dimensionals.

For the 3 x 3 note card I just cut a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock to 3 x 6 scoring it at the 3 inch mark. I used the larger square die in this set and cut the front of the card base out. I then layered a 2.75 x 2.75 piece of DSP on the inside of the card with some of the green mono adhesive glue. Love that stuff...it dries quickly and is great for small pieces like the leaf areas and for adhering down the textured folder pieces. Love It!

I then stamped a leaf in Shaded Spruce ink and cut it out with the matching die and layered it on the card base. For the sentiment I just stamped it in Shaded Spruce ink as well and made a banner cut by hand at the right end and wrapped some striped bakers twine around the other before sticking it down with the some stampin dimensionals. Super Cute.....and it's super easy! Yes you can do it yourself.

Now.....Let's talk about Bonus Days! The last couple years Stampin' Up! has ran a fun Bonus Days special for the month of August and here's how it works. During the Month Of August for every $50 you spend you will earn a Bonus Coupon for $5 off to use in the month of September. It's doesn't matter if your order is $50 or $100 or $150 and so on for every $50 you spend you'll earn a coupon code to be used in September. So if you spend let's say $107 dollars before tax and shipping you would earn two bonus codes, that's $10 off your order in September. You can earn multiple codes and you can redeem multiple codes.

You will be emailed the codes and you will need to save the emails or screen shot them or whatever so that come September when you go to place your order you will get $5 off for each code you enter. So start placing those orders and earning those codes so you can have awesome savings in September. JUST DON'T LOSE THE CODES! That's very important. Print them off, or screen shot them, put them in a safe place because you will be responsible to manage your own codes. Just want to point that part out. Very Important! Don't Lose The Codes! LOL

Okay that is what I have for you today. Hope your week has been a good one if not, well just remember tomorrow is FRIDAY! The Weekend is almost here! Wooo Hooooo!

Thank You so much for stopping in....if you have any questions about the current promotions just send me an email and I can get them answered for you. It's what I'm here for.

Have a great night....HAPPY STAMPING......CAROL
