A Flamingo Thank You

Hey Guys...How's your Friday going? Woo Hooo it's the Weekend! We have been having some really nice temps lately and have been spending some time outside.

So today's card is reflective of the warmer weather. I have pulled out my Stamparatus for this card because it makes layering this Flamingo image so much easier. I also need to get in more practice using it because though I know it's sitting there I still have a tendency to grab for my clear blocks instead of using this great tool. I just need to train myself I guess.

On this card i used a base of Flirty Flamingo cardstock and then o a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the flamingo imafe in Flirty Flamingo, Powder Pink and Black Momento ink. I then stamped the reeds in the water with Lemon Lime Twist and then the water itself in Bermuda Bay ink. The Palms were stamped in Call Me Clover ( a new incolor) and Lemon Lime Twist. I then stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White in Bermuda Bay ink and cut it out with the oval from the stitched shapes framelits. Before sticking it down i looped some gold thread behind it and stuck it down with some Stampin Dimensionals.

I Hope your weekend is a great one! I'm in the middle of a quilt project again after spending some time cleaning and reorganizing my Stampin' Up! ink colors and cardstock racks to get the space ready for all the new colors showing up on Monday! EEEEK So excited to play with all the new colors. I didn't order any new stamps right now but I will once the whole catalog go live on June 1st. I have my eye on some cool new sets but I need to wait until they are available. Speaking of which....if there is anything you still want to get out of the current annual catalog or the Occasions catalog you'll need to get your orders in by May 31st. So don't miss out!

Oh let give you a peek at my current quilt project. I made this top a few weeks ago and I'm just now getting brave enough to Free Motion Quilt it myself. I had to teach myself how to do it first! This fun quilt will be for me! I fell in love with these prints and there's no way I'm giving this one away!

Hahahaha it's pretty right? I can't wait to get some couch time with this lil guy wrapped around me. ( it's a large throw size) I love snuggling up in a quilt while binge watching a show!

Ok I'll wrap this up for now. Hope you have a great weekend! HAPPY STAMPING....CAROL
