Hello and Happy Sunday...Did you survive St. Patrick's day ok? I spent the day cooking Corned Beef and Cabbage in the crock pot, quilting a little and then my Upline's group had a Mystery Stamp along. What is a Mystery Stamp A Long? Well basically we are given a supply list and measurements ahead of time and then during the online class we are given instructions one at a time to build our card....but we have no idea what the finish product is supposed to look like...It's a MYSTERY! So the challenge is making sure you follow instructions and then seeing how well or how different we all perceive the instructions given. LOL It's a lot of fun! So this is my card result from that experience. I didn't do too bad except my circle image was too far left and my button was too far right. Otherwise i pretty much nailed it. Hahaha I've had others that didn't turn out so well or I got lost half way thru or something. But this one, I'm pretty happy with.
I used a card base of Basic Black and layered a 4 x5.25 layer of Basic Gray that was embossed with one of the petal pair embossing folders. I then took a .1.25 x 3.75 piece of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and layered it to the left side of the base. Next was a piece of Basic Black in 2.75 x 4.25 and layered on a piece of Petal Passion DSP that was 2.5 x 4. Next came the sentiment piece that is 2.5 x1.25. I stamped it and was to layer it at the bottom of the DSP layer....ok I got that....LOL next was a strip of basic gray that was .5 x 3.75 and I was to layer it above my sentiment piece. (do you see where this could be left to interpretation? See it's easy here because you can see the end result...we couldn't lol ok then came the focal image on a 2 in punched circle and placed to the left over the .5 strip. (this is where I went a bit too far but it was okay. I was trying to cover the end of that half inch strip but I found out later I wasn't supposed to. Oh Well. LOL it's all in good fun. Then came the button with the bakers twine....ok passed that. but I think it was supposed to be a bigger button and closer to the center. Again....no biggy I'm good with it. Hahahaha
Mystery Stamp A Long....way too much fun. I used the Petal Palette stamp set and basically the Suite for this card. Hope you enjoyed the laugh. I was happy to be done with it at the time because well, the SPURS game was coming on and well That was a Game that HAD to be watched in my house.
I am very happy to report we beat the Timberwolves for the win! Whew.....!
Alright that's what I have for today guys..... I need to get started on a To Do list. I'm hoping to get a video of some sort shot today because it's been a couple weeks since I've done one. If you don't already subscribe to my YouTube channel and would like to you can do that here
Hope you have a great Sunday....HAPPY STAMPING...CAROL
