Spotlight Technique

Welcome to this weeks Broke Stampers Unite Challenge. Our Topic this week is Technique. The Technique we have chosen is spotlighting. In case you aren't familiar with spotlighting, it's a process in which you take a larger sized lined or color book image and stamp it (usually in black) then you stamp it a second time on a second piece of card stock. Either a smaller piece or cut it down after so you only get a small portion of the design. This is the part that you would add color. You could use watercolors, markers, or pencils. Whatever medium you chose really. This becomes your Spotlight section. Usually it's layered with a coordinating color before being placed over the original stamped image. You'll notice the way I colored in the flower in blue and green and then placed it over the first stamped image. Pretty cool looking right? Now go try it for yourself and share your version with us on our Facebook Page Broke Stampers Unite.

Now hop on over to Terri's Blog HERE  and Stace's Blog HERE  and see what they came up with for this weeks challenge. Have a great day, and Thank You for stopping by. :)
